Entrepreneurship

When it comes to student entrepreneurship, the region is at the forefront thanks to the City of Reims, which is part of the PÉPITE programme (Student Cluster for Innovation, Transfer and Entrepreneurship) – a prestigious regional label.

Discover the different approaches offered by the PÉPITE cluster in Champagne-Ardenne, the actual name of which is POTENTIEL. Find out too which schools offer entrepreneurship programmes to their students during their studies.

POTENTIEL

POTENTIEL – what is it?

The POTENTIEL programme helps students and young graduates in Champagne-Ardenne to learn about entrepreneurship and supports them throughout their journey – from the initial idea to financing the project.

What’s the purpose of this programme?

This programme allows students from URCA, NEOMA Business School, ESAD, CESI and Sciences Po to access entrepreneurship and incubation activities organised by the PÉPITE network (workshops, live events, start-up weekends, entrepreneurship week, etc.), to obtain the National Student Entrepreneur Status (SNEE), and to present their project to the PÉPITE Prize.

Learn more about the goals and detailed activities offered by the POTENTIEL programme: https://www.potentiel-ca.fr/index.php/nos-objectifs-et-nos-services/

You can find the different events and activities around entrepreneurship that the POTENTIEL programme organises here: https://pepite-champagne-ardenne.fr/decouvrir-et-se-former-a-l-entrepreneuriat.html

National Student Entrepreneur Status (SNEE)

What is it?

This innovative status was created to help encourage and support students and young graduates wishing to start a business.

This status has many advantages provided by the PÉPITE programme (granted a special and nationally recognised status, receiving personalised support, etc.)

To obtain this status, you must first submit your application. This will then be studied by a commitment committee, and you will be able to move forward in your project more efficiently.

Learn more about the features and benefits of the National Student Entrepreneur Status: https://www.etudiant.gouv.fr/fr/entrepreneuriat-etudiant-2015

Follow the guide to submit your application: https://snee.enseignementsup-recherche.gouv.fr/

What happens once you have your National Student Entrepreneur Status?

Now that you have obtained your status, you can take the next step if you wish.

You can now apply for the Student-Entrepreneur Diploma.

Student-Entrepreneur Diploma (D2E)

Who is the D2E for?

This diploma is only for students who already have the national student entrepreneur status and have obtained the baccalaureate; it also has no age limit.

What’s the purpose of this programme?

The D2E takes place over one academic year and allows you to obtain a diploma issued by the institute that will help you during your career and your professional experience.

It is a diploma that prioritises “learning by doing” and provides the project leader with a tailor-made training programme according to their needs and expectations.
In addition, this diploma allows students to obtain ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) credits as part of the diploma they are pursuing in parallel.

Finally, this diploma gives you the option of replacing your internships with your entrepreneurial project.

If you have any questions about the D2E, please contact pepite.champagne-ardenneuniv-reimsfr

If you prefer, you can also go directly through your school's entrepreneurial network. Here are the schools offering their students incubator courses within their institute.

NEOMA BUSINESS SCHOOL

Through the NEOMA Start-up Lab, three incubators, two specialised accelerators and a Coding School offer students and graduates the opportunity to create and develop their start-up by receiving optimal support. At the same time, NEOMA offers courses that concentrate specifically on entrepreneurship.

Learn more about NEOMA's Start-up Lab and testimonials on https://www.fondation-neoma.fr/fr/action/entrepreneuriat

NEOMA also offers its students the EDTech accelerator.
This option offers support, coaching, and modules to existing start-ups.

In general, an accelerator is an entrepreneurial support programme for growth-stage start-ups. Integrating a start-up accelerator means firstly integrating a coworking space and a network of entrepreneurs and experts.
Being in the growth stage means that the start-up already has customers and that its turnover is increasing over the last months of its fiscal period. Access to the workspace (or campus) is coupled with support for entrepreneurs.

The EdTech accelerator is integrated into NEOMA Business School. The school works hand in hand with the Faculty and all departments to support the development of accelerated start-ups.
EdTech is open to NEOMA Business School students, but also to students who are taking part in the POTENTIEL programme.

We invite you to get in touch with your incubator contact person to find out more. You can also find out more about the NEOMA Business School accelerator on NEOMA’s national website: https://startuplab.neoma-bs.fr/en/neoma-edtech-accelerator-2/ or through this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6194bka4qcI&t=36s

Also known as a “start-up accelerator”, an incubator is an organisation that provides support and assistance to create a company. Its main objective is to welcome, support, and assist those who want to set up innovative business creation projects. A well-defined organisation takes on the project at its various levels:

  • Incubators take on a finalised project.
  • Business incubators take care of the projects being explored.
  • Business incubators take over the projects that have been made into a company.

Innovact is accredited as an incubator of excellence of the Grand Est region.
This will help you after your studies and will allow you to finalise your project worked on during your entrepreneurship on campus.
