L'AFEV

The association AFEV  dedicated to combating educational and social inequalities. It is the largest European network of student volunteers working in underserved neighborhoods.

For 30 years, Afev has connected campuses with disadvantaged areas through solidarity programs that engage students in supporting local communities. Guided by four core pillars, Afev focuses on combating social and educational inequality, encouraging student involvement in community service, providing support through dedicated staff, and advocating for educational equality and youth engagement nationwide.

Present on both days of the Student Welcome Village, AFEV will be eager to discuss how you can get involved. Through mini-games and testimonials, you’ll gain insights into how you can make a difference during your student experience.

Info Jeunes Reims is here to welcome, inform, and guide you on everything related to your daily life, studies, and projects!

Whether you need advice on working, finding housing, getting around, taking care of yourself, building your career, accessing your rights, getting involved, learning how to research, having fun, starting a business, or preparing to go abroad—our services are free, anonymous, and available without an appointment. Our team of professionals is ready to support you Monday through Friday from 1 PM to 6 PM at 41 rue de Talleyrand, Reims.

For those under 30, we also offer a welcoming workspace with free Wi-Fi, PCs, a photocopier, and a scanner.

Info Jeunes Reims also organizes two major annual events: the Reims Jobs Forum (featuring job offers, interview preparation workshops, and company representatives) and the Time to Move Forum, to help you prepare for studying or working abroad!

Intercampus

INTERCampus represents the students of the Champagne-Ardenne region. It unites over 20 student associations, primarily from the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne, Neoma Business School, and Sciences Po Paris Reims Campus.

INTERCampus organizes activities such as training for associations, campus events, and awareness campaigns on health and environmental issues. It also supports students in need through initiatives like AGORAĂ©.

AGORAĂ©, created by INTERCampus, is a social grocery store where students can purchase essential food items at reduced prices, ensuring they can maintain a healthy diet on a tight budget.

The Kfet by INTERCampus is a cafeteria run by the federation, offering homemade meals at affordable prices for students.

Vél'oxygène

Vél'oxygène is an association dedicated to promoting cycling in Reims and Grand Reims. They offer a self-repair workshop, mobile bike repair sessions, and run a bike school for adults and children. They also collaborate with the city on cycling infrastructure.

At the event, Vél'oxygène will have an information stand on cycling in Reims and will organize daily bike tours to show students around the city.

🏛️ Culture

Bibliothèque de l'Université de Reims Champagne Ardennes

The University Library brings together all the libraries across the sites of the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne.

Open to everyone in need of university-level information and resources, the libraries offer welcoming spaces, expert guidance, and services designed to support student success. With extended opening hours, diverse workspaces (individual and group study areas, relaxation spaces), and the lending of small equipment (computers, calculators) and special collections (board games, student life kits), the University Library is a hub for both study and relaxation. Additionally, the library hosts significant cultural events throughout the year, including conferences, exhibitions, and readings.

During the student welcome village event, we invite you to join us for board games. You can also find us in the workshop tent to play "Just One" or "Werewolves of Millers Hollow." (Find all village activities here). Click here to sign up

The Reims Libraries  offer seven locations and a mobile library bus, all free and open to everyone. You can borrow books, movies, music, comics, and more with a free membership, and enjoy digital resources like ebooks and VOD. The libraries provide spaces for reading, relaxing, and studying, along with services like WiFi and printing. Jean Falala and Croix-Rouge libraries feature gaming PCs, consoles, and creative tools. Plus, every month, they host free cultural events, including exhibitions, talks, and performances.

FRAC Champagne-Ardenne

The FRACs  (Regional Contemporary Art Funds) collect and promote contemporary art in different regions. The FRAC Champagne-Ardenne hosts exhibitions, workshops, and outreach programs throughout the year at its location in the historic Jesuit College in Reims. Stop by their stand during the event to explore the world of contemporary art.

La Cartonnerie

Since its inception in 2005, La Cartonnerie, Reims' premier venue for contemporary music, has been busy with a range of activities. These include hosting nearly 130 concerts annually, supporting local artists, providing rehearsal studios, organizing youth-focused concerts, and running cultural projects. For the student welcome event, La Cartonnerie will showcase its popular "Mini Band," offering everyone the chance to dive into contemporary music with a selection of mini instruments available for hands-on exploration throughout the two days.

Le Manège

Le Manège is a national stage dedicated to performing arts, featuring a diverse range of dance, circus, puppetry, and cabaret throughout the year. With three venues including the historic theater and circus in the city center and Studio K622 in Orgeval, the Manège also offers artistic workshops, participatory projects, roundtables, and podcasts.

Musées de Reims

The museums of Reims are joining the back-to-school event for students and will offer insights into:

- The unique features and attractions of their six collections, spanning from Prehistory to the 20th century.
- Their latest news, current and upcoming exhibitions, fall activities, and renovation projects.

Museum professionals will be on hand to discuss their resources and careers in the museum field. They will also invite students to engage in fun activities both at the village and at specific sites like the Museum of the Surrender and the Foujita Chapel.

Pass culture

The pass Culture is a public initiative providing young people with access to a wide range of cultural offers through a free, location-based app. It offers a financial boost of €20 (at age 15), €30 (at ages 16 and 17), and €300 (at age 18, valid for two years) to encourage and diversify cultural and artistic activities.

From exploring new artistic practices to enjoying cultural venues like cinemas, theaters, museums, or acquiring cultural goods such as books, vinyl records, and musical instruments, the Pass Culture enables youths aged 15 to 20 to engage in cultural experiences independently or with friends.

Direction des déchets

The Waste Management Department of Reims will be on-site throughout the event to raise awareness about waste sorting and collection.

They will offer engaging activities at their stand, including:
- An exhibit and interactive games about the extended recycling guidelines.
- A zero-waste textile stand featuring demonstrations of furoshiki (fabric wrapping) and tawashi (Japanese scrubbing brushes).

Suez

The "Sort and Win!" recycling kiosks offer a way to enhance your recycling efforts beyond the usual yellow bin or bag.

In October 2022, Grand Reims, in partnership with SUEZ, introduced four (and soon five) reward-based recycling stations. The aim is to engage and encourage more effective sorting of waste. By depositing plastic bottles, food cartons, and metal cans, you can choose to:

- Donate to three different charities.
- Accumulate points to redeem for rewards such as leisure, sports, eco-friendly, or cultural options.
- For the Cora Neuvillette kiosk only: Receive a discount voucher for Cora.

Association Noël Paindavoine

The ’association  focuses on its housing offer to better support young people and provide accommodation tailored to their needs. It aims to create conditions that help young people thrive by gaining independence, building their life projects, and actively participating in society.

The housing options in Résidence Habitat Jeunes are available to individuals aged 16 to 30 who are engaged in professional activities or training (employees, apprentices, vocational trainees, students, civic service volunteers, unemployed individuals receiving benefits, etc.) and have a minimum income of €500 per month.
